Esta ave é uma das mais comuns em Portugal durante o Inverno entre Novembro e Março, observando-se práticamente em todos os habitats. De estrutura pequena, o dorso é cinzento esverdeado, as asas escuras, a parte inferior do corpo pálida e tem uma lista acima do olho muito ténue. As patas são escuras e o bico pálido, curto e fino.
This bird is one of the most common in Portugal during the winter season between November and March, being observed almost in all habitats. Of small stature, the back is greenish gray, dark wings, the inferior part of the body is pale and has a thin list above the eye. The feet are dark and the beak pale, short and thin.
